BURLINGTON, Vt. — Merrimack College fell to 15th-ranked Vermont, 2-1, in spite of outshooting the Catamounts 25-22 yesterday at Gutterson Fieldhouse. Vermont drew first blood as Josh Burrows redirected a Dean Strong blast from the point. In spite of the blemish, junior goalie Andrew Braithwaite got a degree of retribution later in the first period when he denied Strong's breakaway bid.
